BAJA 1000 by Morgan

So I'm a long time reader first time blogger and I thought that I would feel weird...but I don't. Jake Matt and myself, Morgan the now blogger, drove the 9 hours to Ensenada Mexico and witnessed unspeakable joy! The BAJA mil (one-thousand in english means mil in spanish) was absolutely worth risking swine flu and confronting drug lords for. I will bring wife and em next time...yes friends, there will be a next time and another next time....good times.

Rediculo!!!!
(ridiculous in english means Rediculo in spanish)

I asked the head police officer if he would let me ride around the Red Bull jump with my r/c truck and he agreed! After an incredible display of the little guy I asked him if we could go stand with the media guys by the fence (which was otherwise off limits ) and again he agreed!! As you can see there is about 6000 people around the jump and only about 15 had access to the media area, NBC, OFF Road Magazine, Outdoor World, some privateers and US it was unreal. Look for us on youtube and let me know if you can find us in action!

That would be me Matt and Jake enjoying our front row seats

p.s. I would like to give a shout out to my lovely wife for putting up with my absence and to Maren for letting us borrow her CRV.......which was de masculinizing at best but well worth the 25 mpg

Sunday Morning Serenade

Emery LOVES the piano....so this morning while we were getting ready for church we pulled
her highchair up to the keys and let her play her little heart out :)

Lefty or Righty?

So about a week or so ago I noticed that whenever Emery would get a hold of a pen or highlighter or marker...pretty much anything that you can write with, she'd hold it in her little fingers like a pencil and try to draw with it. So today I went to Target and got her some fat washable crayons and let her go to town!

I'd say she's got pretty good form for a one year old!

The finished product!

Yes, I immediately hung it on our fridge :)

ps. i have to say i was so impressed with emery...she didn't try to eat the crayons, not once!

Where Did September Go?

So to say life has been busy would be an understatement...Here's a snapshot of whats going on with the Pews..

Morgan...work, home, school, softball, home, work, school, softball, home

Lauren...school, emery, laundry, dinner, emery, school, emery, laundry, dinner, emery

Emery....eat, sleep, play

Morgan did take time however to teach Em how to play the drums...we think she's a natural...

And Sunday afternoon naps are a must....aren't they sweet...

But my favorite happening so far has been this weather!! We planted flowers over the weekend and had the doors and windows open all day...I'm pretty sure that it doesn't get a whole lot better than this...

I love my life
